Dominique Lanz

1995*, London, UK

Dominique Lanz (*1995 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany) is a visual artist and textile designer currently based in London. Her subjects are inextricably linked to the medium of textiles: Repulsion and desire, excess, obsession with materials and the intertwining of artificial matter and nature. She looks at things that we cast off as disposable and tries to illuminate the surreal in the seemingly everyday.

A graduate of the MA Textiles at the Royal College of Art London, which was supported by the Ikea Foundation Switzerland, her work has been featured in exhibitions at the Museum für Gestaltung Zürich (2024, 2022) and the Museum of Cultures Basel (2016) and is now part of the collections of both museums. In 2022, she took part in the Pro Helvetia Residency at Palazzo Trevisan degli Ulivi, Venice, IT.
