Applications are accepted from 1 March to 30 April 2026.
A Google/Gmail account is required to complete the application form. All correspondence will be conducted via the email address provided in the application form.

and two more external experts
The jury considers the following selection criteria:
- Originality and distinctiveness of the work
- Strength of the artistic/professional practice
- Relevance of the practice to the context of Fundaziun Nairs
- Alignment of the applicant’s motivation with the Fundaziun Nairs programme and offering
- Enthusiasm for communal living with other residents
Fundaziun Nairs is a privately managed, non-profit institution that relies on public and private funding. We keep fees for residents as low as possible. Although Fundaziun Nairs covers the primary costs of the residency programme, residents provide a monthly contribution toward costs:
Residents: 950 CHF / month (includes food supplies)
Collaboration partners (sharing a studio): 475 CHF / month
Upon mutual confirmation of the residency, a partial payment of 500 CHF is due. This is retained in the event of cancellation to cover administrative costs.
In the event of cancellation or early termination, Fundaziun Nairs will endeavour to find a replacement and a mutually agreeable solution regarding the remaining costs. However, the total fee stated in the contract remains due in principle; there is no entitlement to a waiver or reduction.
We are happy to provide letters of invitation to support applications for grants from public or private institutions for a stay at Fundaziun Nairs. Where possible, we also assist by providing relevant contacts.

Die Jury für Atelieraufenthalte in 2027 besteht aus:

und zwei weiteren externen Expert*innen
Die Jury orientiert sich an folgenden Kriterien:
- Eigenständigkeit der Arbeit
- Professionalität der Laufbahn
- Relevanz der Praxis für den Kontext der Fundaziun Nairs
- Übereinstimmung der Motivation für den Aufenthalt mit dem Fokus und dem Angebot der Fundaziun Nairs
- Bereitschaft und Freude am gemeinsamen Leben mit anderen Resident*innen
Die Fundaziun Nairs ist eine privat geführte, gemeinnützige Institution und auf öffentliche und private Fördergelder angewiesen. Wir halten die Kosten für die Resident*innen so niedrig wie möglich. Die Fundaziun Nairs trägt den grössten Teil der Kosten pro Residenzplatz. Ein Teil wird von den Resident*innen in Form eines Unkostenbeitrages übernomenn.
Resident*innen: 950 CHF / Monat, inkl. gesamte Verpflegung
Kollaborationspartner*innen im gleichen Studio: 475 CHF / Monat
Zum Zeitpunkt der Zusage beider Parteien wird eine Vorauszahlung von 500 CHF fällig. Dieser Betrag wird bei Nichtantritt der Residenz für den entstandenen administrativen Aufwand einbehalten.
Im Falle eines Nichtantritts oder Abbruchs der Residenz bemüht sich die Fundaziun Nairs unter Berücksichtigung der individuellen Situation um eine einvernehmliche Lösung für die verbleibenden Kosten und darum, einen Ersatz zu finden. Der im Vertrag festgehaltene Gesamtbetrag bleibt grundsätzlich geschuldet, ein Anspruch auf Erlass oder Reduktion besteht nicht.
