“Inspirar” is the impulse that Christina Wildgrube brought to Graubünden — and now to Nairs, where she is collaborating with the Museum Stamparia Strada during her residency.
As a visual artist, she primarily works in the field of printmaking, and more recently, in the spatial installation of her prints — as seen in the façade design for “HORIZONTE — Ein Kunstprojekt zum Mauerfall 1989” at the National Theatre Weimar.
Christina studied communication design in Berlin and Chicago, and completed the Meisterschülerin program at the Academy of Fine Arts Leipzig. In 2021, she was awarded the Leipzig Annual Exhibition Prize for her printmaking work. From the 2021/22 to the 2022/23 school year, she also participated in the “Flying Artist’s Room” residency program of the Crespo Foundation, making artistic practice tangible in schools.
She welcomes the unexpected — and finds joy in discovering forms of collaboration, through printmaking and beyond, in the here and now.
If you’re driving through Strada, where the Museum Stamparia Strada is, be sure to stop by.
There’s wonder waiting inside, while outside, the river Inn flows in its wide bed.
