Laura Malerba was born in Lausanne and lives in Fribourg. She completed her Bachelor and Master at the HEAD of Geneva and lived for several years in San Francisco.
Laura Malerba, multidisciplinary, likes to explore through video narrative and social approaches to everyday life and sometimes through documentary issues of participation and community. In her practice, the scenes are filmed with a deliberate plastic intention, composed, inlaid, slowed down or overrun.
In collaboration with Esther Maria Jungo, art historian, she wishes to question and recontextualize multilingualism (work in progress in Fribourg) and the benefits but also the culture of water in the baths, especially in Nairs in the context of the last and only «Trinkhalle» from Switzerland.
