Leo Shearmur
Leo Shearmur (b. 1994) lives and works in Zurich. His first film, Sun Set Rise, was independently made and premiered at the 59th Solothurner Filmtage. His poems have appeared in various UK magazines, including DreamCatcher and The Cannon’s Mouth. He is currently working on a poetry collection and a collection of short stories.
Liminality is a key theme running through his literary and audiovisual work. While the state of being in between can denote a separation, a divide, something that neither this nor that, it also describes a bond or association. Identities, boundaries, modernity’s relationship to time and history are recurring subjects in his work and used to delineate a zone in flux that defies categorisation.
