Lilian Robl is a German artist, art historian and author specializing in film and language. Her artistic practice is interdisciplinary and combines theory, autobiography, literature and science. Her work is shown in exhibitions including GiG (Munich), Top Space (Berlin), Wienwoche (Vienna), Hanne Darboten Center (Hamburg) as well as at film and video festivals including the Barcelona International Short Film Festival, Les Instants Vidéo Marseille, GRRL Haus Cinema Berlin, Athens Digital Arts Festival, Auftakt festival Filmhaus Cologne. In 2022 she received the Federal Scholarship for the Cité Internationale des Arts Paris, in 2023 the European Scholarship of the District of Upper Bavaria, the International scholarship Oberpfälzer Künstlerhaus and the VIDEODOX Prize at the Underdox Festival for Dokument and Experiment Munich. Since 2022, Lilian Robl and Leontine Köhn form the artist-curator duo Crying Curators.
