BIO
I am a visual artist from Taiwan, graduated from Taipei National University of the Arts (MFA Program in New Media Art) in Taiwan. Video is the main medium of my artwork, though sometimes I also use readymades and photography. In the past few years, I have traveled to Yokohama and Reykjavik for residencies and exhibitions.
Since 2019, I have been conducting a series of research on body perception and memory as well as temporality, including a large number of medical and philosophical discourses.In 2020 I completed „Lost Landscapes“, a conclusion of this series. In my earlier works I tended to use certain symbolic objects to transform, borrow or illustrate my view of my own life. However, after completing last year’s work I realized that I was essentially trying to deconstruct and find the gaps in the surface of the world during the process of creation.
